The staff (Oliver & Oliver's Mom) were humble, gracious and extremely helping! I would have gained much less in my travels through Bogota without Oliver! Also, the patrons at this hotel are kind, fun, and informative on where to visit in Bogota. I really loved my experiences in La Candelaria, Bogota. John Wilkins

Do not book it, not worth th struggle

The location is great and the building is interesting

Has rats in the rooms we had some snacks out because the place doesn’t offer any kitchen and the rats where big and not afraid of humans, toilets in the down story weren’t clean enough or at all showers not hot enough and the place is cold really cold there is plenty of blankets dough, everybody else got towels and soap and we spending a week there ,so poorly managed we thinks that place need to change many things and till then do not book here it’s not worth it the struggle still expensive for Colombia best regards and hopping the improvement from the direction,the staff is really friendly

Location was great.

Location was great. And architecture was nice. Guy that greeted us was friendly.

Bathrooms open to everything- I mean no wall to separate bathroom from general clientele or hallway. Sheets were a bit damp, there was what looked like tiny blood splatters on the bedroom wall. Pieces of glass between floorboards in hallways. No bedside lights. General feeling of grubbiness and neglect. However at about $17 CDN, you get what you pay for.

The hotel is located in a nice area.

The hotel is located in a nice area.. really close to the city centre. It is an old building and I founded charming. The staff was really helpful and kind.

The room was really cold as the water in the shower. The bathroom has no door, i.e. every toilet and shower has it but there is no door for the room so it was hard to change cloths in the shower. It could be cleaner.

Don't bother

Close to quite a few attractions in Candelaria.

The double bed for two people seemed no bigger than a large single. The mattress (or gym mat?) and pillows had thick plastic covers on them with really ill-fitting sheets that kept slipping off during the night so you'd wake up sleeping on gross plastic. The room was really small with barely enough room to even put your bags on the floor. The communal bathroom was on a different level so you have to walk outside and upstairs to use them and they always seemed to have old men showering or changing with the doors open. The front gate was looked at 8.30pm so we were locked in before we could get dinner.

The guys of the staff are so friendly and really polite. They will you give all .the information about the city. They also allowed us to Leave the luggage in the room a lots over the check out time..really great people

The structure is really cold, and also no hot water... But it's not fault of the guys ..

Very good offer for the money, good location and nice people, but limited facilities.

Price/comfort ratio is very good. Bed was good size. Helpful staff, arranged laundry in the hostel.

The mattress was not the best, no window in the room, but a biiiig door. The color temperature of the lamp in the room was like a hospital. They should use warm light bulbs :)

Just if u are in a budget

Best location, just 150m from the main square, u can go walking anywhere. Rooms are big and the price is one of the best in Bogota. Good for travelers in a budget.

Common Bathroom is a joke, without windows, not always clean, and also without a door - in spite of being used both by man and woman. You take your shower separeted from the world by a simple curtain. There is no soundproofing, so expect to be awakened by traffic noise early. There are cracks in some doors, so it's not that private. Staff don't know basis information of the city (which doesn't really matter, as the brillant touristic information office is just 100m from the hotel). No breakfast.
